Canada study and immigration
"Immigration" is the process of becoming a permanent resident of Canada. After the immigration application is approved, the federal government will issue an immigrant visa. Landing in Canada with an immigrant visa will become a permanent resident of Canada, issue a Maple Leaf Card, and enjoy basically the same benefits as Canadian citizens.

Permanent residents need to live in Canada for 2 years every 5 years to maintain their resident status, that is, to meet the residency obligations of permanent residents, and they can apply for Canadian citizenship after 4 years of residence in 6 years.
